While doing research the other day I stumbled on a pilot search program. I don’t know when Family Search started this new search application but it seems to work rather well. One of the things I found that it was tied into is the Ohio death certificate data base with the images included.
I managed to find several death certificates for random family members and even cleare up maiden names for some of the wives. Any search that includes an image has a small icon beside it. Ohio’s death certificates are just one; Texas death certificates are included along with images of the 1900 Census, Michigan marriages and Philadelphia death certificates.
This gives me one more site to open when doing research along with Newspaperarchive.com, footnote.com and ancestry.com. With all of these groups making the records available on line has certainly helped cut down on the amount of footwork needed to do research!
